Why did Tony Curtis dislike Marilyn Monroe so much?

I don’t feel he disliked her, but as with many who worked on the set of the now-classic movie “Some Like It Hot” (1959), for Tony Curtis it was clearly a moment of frustration with her unprofessional behavior, particularly since it was a complete contrast to the very professional behavior he always displayed, drilled into him while being groomed under contract with Universal, never forgetting he was on a studio’s dime whenever working on a film.

Also, he had an affair with Marilyn years before they worked together, they had remained friends, & he was initially excited to be working with her. So while it turned out to be a much tougher & draining experience with her than he & others had anticipated in the end, he understood that her captured magic onscreen was something he would be a part of & that it would last long after the cameras stopped rolling.
