A friend said he found a big dog — Presa Canario, 100 pounds 🐶
Keep him for a few days.
I said fine, he’ll be a guard dog 💪
Named him Bruno.
Bed by the door, heavy collar, full tough scene 😎
First night woke up at 2 AM…
Bruno was shivering 😢
Reason?
The AC was on 😂
Then I understood the situation was different.
Scared of the dark,
scared of the floor,
scared of sounds.
He just stuck to me 🤍
On day 5, I put a camo jacket on him,
and he completely froze 😄
Then the neighbor came with a soft sweater,
a small cute one with stars ✨
Bruno went straight into it
and wouldn’t come out 😄
When I took him out to wash, he got sad 😢🐾
A few days later, rescue said:
“We found someone to adopt the guard dog.”
I saw Bruno,
sprawled on the couch, resting his head on my arm 😄
I said:
“This is not a guard dog.”
They asked: “Then what is it?”
I said:
“He’s scared of the dark and needs to be tucked in at night.” 😂🐶
Then I realized it myself…
He’s not going anywhere.
“Yes, he’s staying here.” 🤍
It’s been 3 years.
Now Bruno has his own couch spot
and more sweaters than I do. 😄🐾
