You want to know if Cynthia (John’s wife) ever met Yoko Ono (John’s wh**e) correct? Cynthia had been on holiday with I believe Maureen Starkey (Mrs Ringo Starr) and upon arriving home found the pair of them sitting at her table, in her house, drinking her tea, out of her china, whilst Ms Ono was attired in Mrs Lennon’s bathrobe. They allegedly said something along the lines of oh it’s you, good morning I believe Cynthia turned around and left. It really shows what kind of people both of them were. People are quick to come to John’s defense and disparage Cynthia but what John Lennon and Yoko Ono did to Cynthia and Julian is indefensible really. There just is absolutely no way to turn it around into something decent.
Cynthia Lennon was by all accounts a decent, loving and loyal woman. She stood by John’s side giving him her support all the way back to the Quarry Men days not long after Paul joined. None of John’s bandmates ever spoke of her in a negative fashion. Mimi Smith did but then no one would ever have been good enough for her John in her eyes.
