Yuuge!
Also fake news! When Trump appeared on “Dr Oz”, he brought a doctor’s letter claming that he was 6′ 3″ and 236 pounds, the letter that later became his official “health summary” during the election. While Dr. Bornstein was, in fact, Trump’s gastroenterologist, Bornstein later revealed that Trump dictated the entire letter. He had not actually measured and weighed Trump prior to typing and signing the letter. It was fairly obvious that, based on the phrasing of the letter, no doctor wrote it.
Trump’s official examination was given by Rear Admiral Ronny “The Candyman” Jackson, the same Navy doctor who had examined President Obama. Jackson’s report claimed Trump to be 6′3″ and 239 pounds. Of course, he also said that Trump could live to be 200 years old on a better diet? A joke maybe. Or, being a Navy man, Trump as Commander-in-Chief could have ordered him to give a false report. His report also dwelled uncomfortably on Trump having “good genes,” some of the exact wording Trump himself used in speeches and tweets. So at the least, questionable.
My best estimate comes from former carnival weight-guesser, Ray De Frates, who puts Trump at 252–255 pounds. He shows more professionalism than either of the doctors here.
As for his height, Trump never appears to be 6′ 3″ when standing next to other people. John “JEB” Bush claims to be 6′ 3″, and he’s clearly taller than Trump. Other photos, with Trump next to Bill O’Reilly, Barack Obama, various other figures suggest Trump is actually about 6′1″. He may have been taller in the past — he is, after all, 71 year old and people do lose a bit of height by that age. Trump’s driver’s license from 2012 claims he’s 6′2″… does politics add an inch or two? Of course, even that’s not necessarily accurate — you supply your height to the DMV in most areas for your license. They don’t actually measure you. So I suppose Trump’s height is a classic “tall tale”, getting taller over the years.
