Simon Frost,75 from Soham, Cambs, had his dream came through when he was matched on online dating site with Eva – a young beautiful lady who claimed to be a hospital worker from Accra,Ghana.
The supposed Eva used the portrait of a US porn star, Briana Lee, 28 in her profile. Simon started internet dating after his wife of 10 years left him. He joined a website called Real Sex Contacts and two months later was introduced to Eva . Eva sent some pictures of Briana Lee which made Simon to fall in love with her.
After Simon was deeply caught in her net she came up with stories which made Simon send her the money he didn’t have.
She said she needed money to get court documents so she could access her father’s 5 million pounds inheritance which included a stash of Gold.
Simon sent 6000 pounds from his savings, 3000 pounds on credit cards and 10000 pounds he got as a loan . He also paid 1600 pounds for Eva’s flight when the time came for them to meet in the UK in August last year, Eva didn’t show up and he has not heard from her since.
He said:
“I genuinely believed the relationship was real. I don’t understand why anyone would treat me like that. I had good intentions and was looking for a genuine relationship.“It has put me off trying anything like this ever again. “I would rather be lonely than go through all of this trauma”.
