Just today, I had a visit from the Fire Department. Three very nice volunteer fire-men showed up with my neighbor’s daughter in tow.
I knew they would be coming, but was a little surprised at their quick response. My neighbor had a problem, and said she couldn’t sleep at all last night because of it.
Today, she decided that the fire department could help her from inside my property.
Her cat had gotten out, climbed into my property and then over a wall into a common neighbors backyard. Our common neighbor being a retail store which was closed yesterday (Sunday and today a holiday). In the past the store had stuff against the wall and her cat could come and go freely. They moved that stuff, and her cat was stuck.
Apparently crying all night. The fire department to the rescue! They got her cat and everyone is happy.
I didn’t think people really called the fire department for cats. But, a friend who is a volunteer fire-woman here said it is extremely common.Ffirst
