Tens of millions of men wear women’s clothing and lingerie.
This is nothing new, and nothing that needs explaining in terms of who—in reality—these garments were originally made for.
Men who enjoy wearing women’s clothing are welcome to shop for them—publicly, and without any moral judgments against them for doing so.
At Nordstrom and Macy’s where I often shop, I occasionally see men at these stores shopping for women’s clothing. The lingerie department also welcomes men as shoppers; i.e., men buying items for themselves.
I have found that most stores have an open policy which welcomes both men and women to shop there.
Here are some stores that I know will sell women’s clothing to men (no special appointment is needed either).
- Macy’s
- Nordstrom
- The Gap
- Women’s Footlocker
- The Loft
- Chico’s
- SAKS Fifth Avenue
- Banana Republic
- American Eagle Outfitters
- J. C. Penny
- Anthropologie
- H & M
- TOPSHOP
- J. Crew
- Ann Taylor
- Victoria’s Secret
And this is just a partial list of stores in my local area.
When you stop and think about it, these stores are in business to earn a profit. Why should they care who’s buying the clothing they sell? Trust me, they don’t.
So if literally every store that sells women’s clothing is happy to sell this clothing to men, I would think that answers your question pretty convincingly.
