There are only two weak spots on a Crocodile for an unarmed human to target in the event of an attack, and then only if you’re incredibly lucky. 99 percent of the time if any of you is in its mouth you’re dead.
Those two weak spots are the eyes. Big aren’t they?…not (the eyes I mean).
Crocs react to an attack on an eyeball just like any other animal. If you’re extremely lucky and can attack an eye, do it vigorously and don’t relent until it has let you go. Don’t worry, it will let you go if you put its eye in danger. Whether it will re-attack you is anyone’s guess though, but at least you’ve given yourself a chance to survive.
The other strategy is to hug the croc if it’s got one of your limbs in its mouth. Sounds weird I know, but, this tactic essentially nullifies the death roll as your whole body goes with the croc when it rolls instead of just your limb. The idea here is to literally ride the attack out. Crocs are sprinters, not marathon runners. If you can attach yourself to the croc it will quickly wear itself out, especially if you can attack an eye in the process. You’re going to end up with bruises from the tips of your toes to the top of your head but still better than dead.
As stated in my first paragraph, if you’re in its mouth you’re pretty much cactus but, with an absolute shed load of luck and quick thinking you may survive; you mightn’t have all your limbs but, once again alive is better than dead.
If you’ve been extremely lucky to survive the initial attack and it has let you go, get on the crocs’ back just behind its front legs. (Oh, FYI, this depends of you still being at the bank of the river.) To actually escape the croc run at a 45 degree angle to the rear of the croc. DO NOT run straight backwards. The tail is almost as dangerous as the teeth and one slap of the tail can easily break your legs. If you’re in deep water the only advice is to just do your best and hope you’re lucky.
