Gene Simmons in particular was insanely popular with women. Simmons, 76, reportedly slept with over 5000 women in his life. His big secret? That unusually long tongue of his, rumored to be over seven inches long in full.
A lot of ladies were curious to find out if Simmons was truly “made for loving them”. And they wanted to know what the tongue could do and if the frontman matched up in other ways. Another part of his secret was the fact that Simmons claims never to have done drugs or gotten drunk. The way he explained it, it was out of respect for his mother, who survived the Holocaust. Since he was her only child, he couldn’t risk dying of an overdose and breaking her heart. So his drug of choice was women. Lots and lots of women.
The fact that Simmons was sober when other men around were drunk out of their minds or high as a kite probably helped, too. Heavily intoxicated men tend knock at least forty points off their IQs and often become borderline mentally challenged; if you’re the only sober guy at the party, you’re suddenly charming and a genius by comparison.
