A 26-year-old influencer has sadly passed away after having breast enlargement surgery.
Model and mother of one, Derleya Alves, experienced serious complications following the procedure and died just eight days later.
The fitness and lifestyle influencer from Brazil, who regularly posted content on Instagram for her 26,000 followers, shared her final photo online on Saturday, telling fans she was recovering from the surgery.
Derleya had the operation on February 20, but soon after it was completed, she began suffering from severe pain.
Even though she was in pain, she continued updating her social media, posting photos from the hospital while her mother helped her get dressed.
Her health quickly became worse as doctors worked urgently to try to save her. She went through several medical tests and two additional surgeries. During those procedures, doctors repaired damage to her intestines and removed one of her ovaries.
Sadly, she passed away due to complications at Marabá Municipal Hospital in northern Brazil.
