I often worry that my dogs might annoy the neighbors, and we really do try to be as considerate as possible. But every day, one car stops in front of our house and honks to call the dogs out into the yard. Today,
I finally went over to introduce myself—and discovered their paralyzed senior dachshund sitting happily in the front seat. His owner told me that this little ride around the block to see my dogs is the highlight of his day. He sat on his dad’s lap, tail wagging, barking joyfully at them. It absolutely made my day.
