Amanda Playle and her husband Paul met when they were 16 years old. She had been faithful to him throughout their marriage.
They had two daughters together.
Then suddenly a man named Anthony Reynolds, a former school friend of Amanda’s, began sending email and Facebook messages to Amanda threatening her. He had detailed knowledge of her personal life and apparently watched her constantly.
Amanda became more and more withdrawn out of fear.
Paul, her husband was her support , comforted her and gave her support.
Amanda did not leave the house anymore and was close to suicide. She was insanely afraid.
In messages she received December 2015 and June 2017, Antony questioned Amanda about previous sexual encounters and called her a “slut.” He told her he could see her jogging.
A message she received while she was shopping and holding a new purse said, “Nice purse, want to meet for coffee at Starbucks?”
Antony also contacted Amanda’s parents and colleagues and hacked into their accounts to send messages.
It came out that Amanda’s husband, Paul, had been tormenting her this way for three years.
He regularly saw her break down and then comforted her.
And, of course, he knew everything about her and could drive ske crazy. He humiliated and controlled her in a perfidious way.
Amanda says she can never trust anyone again.
Paul was sentenced to three years in prison.
