A lady had a pet snake that she loved very much. The snake was about 7 feet long, and one day it suddenly stopped eating.
After trying everything for several weeks, the woman still couldn’t get the snake to eat. She took it to the vet and explained the situation.
The vet asked, “I see…has your snake been sleeping with you at night, snuggling close and stretching out?”
The woman said, “Yes, every day. It makes me so sad that I can’t help him feel better.”
The vet told her, “Ma’am, your snake is not sick. It has been getting ready to eat you. It has been watching you every day to know how big it needs to be. It isn’t eating so it will have enough room to digest you.”
Moral of the story:
Be careful about the snakes around you. Not everyone has good intentions. Just because someone seems close to you doesn’t mean they aren’t planning to hurt you. Some people aren’t praying for you—they’re preying on you.
