Oh so many things, both as an employee and a customer.
Things I witnessed as an employee:
People ripping open packages of t-shirts, underwear etc and wanting to try them on, then getting mad when I told them it was not allowed due to it was a health code violation.
A young boy (approximately 9–10) run out of a fitting room. I thought this was suspicious so I went to check and sure enough there were several cases of video games he had sneaked in and stolen.
A grandmother went into a fitting room with her granddaughter and left leaving the young girls pee soaked underwear and a almost full package (minus the new one she had stolen and presumably put on the girl) of opened underwear behind.
Couples getting huffy they weren’t allowed to go in a fitting room together, particularly young couples not those that would appear to need help getting dressed.
A young lady in a bathing suit and sandals
who shopped with a guy for 2 hours he bought 2 carta full of things and she brought everything back the next day to get the cash
A woman who would go around the store in a electric buggy nearly everyday and would go in the backroom and steal things claiming she was lost trying to find the restroom. She was there almost everyday, she wasn’t lost.
My two favorites were: fur coat lady and lady “in labor”
There was a lady who would decide not to take her meds, ride the bus to the store and walk from the bus stop in a fur coat in July when temperatures can easily reach 100+ with humidity (in Oklahoma) she would go “shopping” thru the store, then go in a cashier line and demand it for free. We had to remove her from the store a few times. Her husband would refuse to deal with her during these times. Other times, when she would take her meds she would come in and be completely fine and pleasant.
One time, this lady started SCREAMING in the front women’s restroom that she was in labor and having her baby right then. Everyone in the store rushed to help and called an ambulance. This dramatic show was a distraction while two men smashed open the jewelry cases and made off with probably thousands in jewelry. The “baby” was a doll she had stuck up her dress/skirt.
As a customer:
Two women got into a fight with their carts because they were both trying to be the nicer one and let the other person go first. Smh
