Army officer Major B. Vijay Kumar died under suspicious circumstances last Wednesday morning in the Cantonment police station area of Jabalpur. His car was found parked outside the Indian Coffee House in Sadar Bazaar around 11 a.m. Passersby noticed a man sitting in the driver’s seat in the same position for nearly two hours. Suspicious, they immediately informed the police. Upon receiving the information, Cantonment police arrived at the scene and attempted to identify the car using its number plate.
The vehicle turned out to be an army vehicle, and the occupant was Major B. Vijay Kumar, a doctor posted at the military hospital. Police immediately alerted military officials. An army team arrived at the scene, and the major was taken to the military hospital by ambulance. However, doctors there declared him dead.
Major died of heart attack!
Police say that preliminary investigations have revealed a heart attack as the cause of death, but the actual cause will only be clear after the post-mortem report. Regarding the incident, police station in-charge Pushpendra Patle said that the Major was originally from Bengaluru and currently lived in a government bungalow on the Jabalpur Military Hospital campus. He had come to Sadar Bazaar on Wednesday morning for some personal work. During this time, his health suddenly deteriorated and he died in the driver’s seat of his car.
