Why is Alec Baldwin being sued by the family of a fallen U.S. Marine?

It appears the shooting of Halyna Hutchins isn’t the only problem Alec Baldwin is facing. He is currently being sued by the family of Rylee McCollum, a Marine who died last August in the Kabul bombing.

According to court documents acquired by TMZ, after Rylee passed away, Alec sent $5,000 to his sister to give to his widow. On January 3rd this year, the Marine’s sister posted a photo of herself at the Washington monument on January 6th of last year, before the capitol riots, and Alec left this comment on her post:

He then posted a picture of her on his Instagram and his fans immediately started harassing her and her family online. Her family, along with Rylee’s widow, are accusing him of being reckless and are suing him for defamation, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress (and more) and asking for $25 million.
