What pictures make you think “This can’t be right!”?

Mateo Elijah

I was in ICU recovering from back surgery, the anaesthetic was just about wearing off and I was becoming aware of my surroundings. I noticed everyone passing me looked and then stopped for a second look, but nobody said anything. Strange expressions and double takes and still nobody says anything.

The ward assistant brought me a jug of ice water and she just stood and stared at me:

“What’s wrong?”

“Your one eye is green!” (I have always had brown eyes!)

“What! What do you mean it’s green?!”

“Your one eye is green!”

“Show me!”:

Apparently the anaesthetist took off the tape which is used to keep your eyes closed during the surgery and scraped the lens. The eye specialist gave me some drops and later laser treatment. The eye was back to normal after about three days.

Why it turned green is still a mystery to me!

I was in a car accident in 2007 and suffered extensive injuries. Both my lenses were replaced with artificial ones.
