As a female, there aren’t many embarrassing things that happen too often in the locker room. BUT THERE WAS ONE.
Because I was a varsity athlete for track, we shared the locker room with the softball girls, basketball and volleyball girls while everyone else was in a different area. One time, it was around noon-ish as we were just coming back from practice and getting ready to shower….
Honestly, it was like the beginning of Carrie.
SO…. most of the track girls (including me) wore sport bras and stuff and so we were just about to get into the shower when we hear from the other side a lot of laughing. We go and check this out and there is this one stall that is blasting… and this is for real…
“LET IT GOOOOOO, LET IT GOOOOOOOO, CAN’T HOLD IT BACK ANYMORE!!!!!”
My friends and I just start bursting out in laughter. However, I didn’t notice that there were so many girls having their phones out and taping this on Snapchat…
The poor girl who was singing loudly was so embarrassed because she thought that the showers were sound-proof (it is because our showers were like jail cells with a mile of concrete in-between.)
In the end, it was fine. The girl laughed it off and she became the sophomore class president kinda because of that video.
Moral of the story: don’t sing LET IT GOOOOO in a shower stall.
