….Nick Nolte…was arrested in Omaha/1965 for counterfeiting and selling false draft cards, a federal offense.
He received a felony conviction, fined $75,000 and a 45 year jail sentence, all suspended.
Nolte was a heavy drinker until 1980.
When Katherine Hepburn accused him of falling down drunk in every gutter in town, Nolte replied “I have a few to go yet”
