David Lee Roth was on tour for the first time since parting with Van Halen to support his album Eat ’Em and Smile.
At one point during the show, Dave was doing an acoustic thing…just him sitting on a stool with a guitar and telling a story or something like that.
Someone from the audience threw a glow stick at Dave, hitting him in the arm or shoulder. It didn’t hurt him, but he didn’t see it coming so it startled him a little.
He stopped and looked at the crowd and yelled “Don’t throw shit at me!” The entire audience was like “oh shit”. It got so quiet you could hear a pin drop. After a few seconds Dave said “It’s ok…I see the guy who threw it. After the show pal, I’m going to fuck your girlfriend!” The crowd erupted loudly and went wild. To be honest, I’m not sure if the guy got kicked out of the show or not, but it was a great rock n roll moment.
