This woman, who is blind, got on the express 2 train going downtown

Mateo Elijah

This woman, who is blind, got on the express 2 train going downtown. She seemed nervous and a little sad as she found her seat. Then, the conductor opened the door and started talking to her. He knew her name and greeted her warmly! She said she was so happy to hear him because a different person had been driving the train recently. They talked about baseball, how she was doing, and what she planned to do that day. After their chat, she looked so much happier. Sometimes, a little kindness is all it takes to change someone’s day. He didn’t have to say hello or even open the door, but he did. I took this picture of their conversation because I was so touched by the conductor. Hats off to you, sir, you made my day better too!”
