There is a little boy fighting with all his strength

Mateo Elijah

There is a little boy fighting with all his strength, far from home, and his mother is praying that people who still believe in miracles will believe in her son too.

This is Theo. A tiny fighter whose parents are from southeast Texas. His face and head started to swell in July. Doctors said the high pressures from his ventilator trapped fluid, leaving his lymphatic system with no way to drain.

On October 10th, he needed a tracheostomy. When the swelling finally went down, the fluid began draining instead. Every drop took away the protein his little body needed to stay alive.

In early November, he went into hypovolemic shock from losing too much too quickly. That’s when his mom knew she had to get him to CHOP — the one place that might truly fix the problem, not just manage it.

She arrived in Philadelphia on December 4th. She was scared, living in the hospital because there was no room at the Ronald McDonald House. Siana, Theo’s mom, gave permission to share his photos here because she has seen what happens when this community comes together.

She believes in the power of this support — how your prayers, words, and kindness have helped children before. She is asking you to lift her son now. Theo is a miracle baby.

This family needs strong, steady prayer. They are 1,300 miles from home, struggling with food, lodging, bills, and the knowledge that this journey will not be quick.

Please lift this family up. Wrap them in your prayers and hope.
