Roddy McDowall was one of the few child stars who remained popular as an adult. He was a child model as a baby and made his first film aged 9.
As he grew up he developed a strong interest in photography. Working with top names of the day in entertainment and having access to famous non-actors he soon built up a huge portfolio over the years.
In 1963 he took this photo of silent screen star, Buster Keaton. Buster also started very young, younger even that Roddy, as Buster first appeared on the stage aged three.
The picture Buster is holding shows himself aged around five or six when he shared an act with his parents – The Three Keatons.
