He caught them having sex on the couch in his home and thought the man was raping his wife. Wald and his much younger wife never had sex. He thought she did not enjoy sex due to prior abuse.
After Wald killed his wife’s lover, their marriage went downhill even further. They constantly argued; getting over adultery is not easy.
In 2019, six years after Wald killed Conley in a case the court described as an act of self-defense, he was accused of killing his wife.
