My son, 24 just shipped to prison today. This is his 2nd time down. On the inside is those walls, for the life sentencers, death row inmates…no!
life is nothing! They feel theirs is over and anyone else’s is insignificant. But on the outside looking in, especially as a mother, YES their lives are extremely valuable. Their lives are on the line in there, every single day. Not only are they valuable to family and loved ones but they are valuable to this world, they go in and for the ones that come out they bring some tools with them that are priceless.
When they speak people listen; they have the ability to educate and encourage others. They’ve been there first hand, no better teacher than the ones who have walked through it. Most could come out and speak to schools, crowds everywhere….offering their knowledge and point of view of why selling dope isn’t that important and how robbing that family has given him a lifetime of regrets to live with. These people are some of the most brilliant minds you will ever meet. Prisoners brilliant? …absolutely! This one has a genius iq. And he’s my son and even though he is behind those walls, HIS LIFE IS EXTREMELY VALUABLE

A 35-year-old Mississippi man accused of murdering his wife has had his bond set at $2 million.
Officers responded to a home on Rockford Court in Brandon around 9 a.m. Saturday in response to a call about an accidental death at the home.
Upon arriving, they found a woman who had died from a gunshot wound. After talking to the man we now know to be Tyler Gorrell, officers became suspicious that Gorrell had killed the woman, who was revealed to be his 38-year-old wife.
Gorrell was taken into custody and charged with both murder and felony possession of a controlled substance. Additional charges are pending as the case is currently under investigation.
