Here’s my wedding story! I married the love of my life when I was just 20 years old, and he was 33. Everyone was surprised and said it wouldn’t last. My parents didn’t come, and I planned everything on my own, not really knowing what I was doing. I was just a kid!
The night before the wedding, a neighbor helped me with my dress, but it didn’t turn out perfect. I ended up crying, wishing my mom could have helped me. I got upset with the neighbor, even though it wasn’t her fault.
But you know what? I was so in love, and when the sun came up the next day, everything was fine! And it really did last. We had 6 children, 3 grandchildren, and 34 wonderful years together.
He passed away at 65 from pancreatic cancer, at home, surrounded by our kids and me. Not everyone gets a love story like ours. This was us—just look at how handsome he was!
