Hello, I am new to this space, and just wanted to show a couple pictures related to me sobriety. First a brief explanation. The picture below is of me about 6 months ago right after my open heart surgery back in Aug 2nd, 2023 (I will show a current pic as well; major difference)
Believe it or not, I was 2 1/2 years sober here. My drug use lead to some health problems including congestive heart failure, and a cirrhotic liver. this was caused by heroin and poor decision making.
I was literally on my deathbed.
Once I was blessed to have my surgery; everything changed for me. Getting sober was such a blessing.
Here is a photo of me now.
I can’t say enough how much better life is. I am truly grateful.
3 years sober now, and life to go.
Anyone who is struggling, I hope you can experience the same pride as myself, and the others who have made the leap.
