This is an adult male silverback gorilla:
Did you take into account the Gorilla’s agility vs that of the bear. Or even his intelligence to adapt to the bear’s brute force. Does fatigue come into play if the fight goes for a prolonged period of time?
He weighs in at around 160kg. This guy is walking muscle. 9 times stronger than man. This is him pissed off.
Impressive isn’t he?
In the other corner we have the Grizzly bear.
He weighs in at around 270kg. His paws are bigger than your face. He has four sets of extremely large claws, and teeth to match. If he swipes you with a paw…he’ll knock you back into the womb! As you can see he’s already pissed off. But here’s how he looks before he takes a bite:
Now as far as the bear is concerned gorilla is another human type chap, but he’d be dead wrong. If you or I punched the bear…we would shatter! Gorilla punches bear…bear feels it…but it just pisses him off a little more.
In my opinion bear wins. Sheer size, power, weapons and stamina. But it wouldn’t go all the bears way…no indeedy. this is not Tyson v Trump…this is Tyson v Tyson (early years). The fight would last a little while and be the biggest fight the bear has had with any homo erectus ( I always snigger at that, but I mean gorilla being the biggest ape the bear would face) ultimately bear would stand victorious. Unlikely they’ll ever meet though…
