A Nurse Like Colton

A Nurse Like Colton

When a young 28-year-old nurse walked into our hospital room, covered in tattoos, and introduced himself as our labor and delivery nurse, I won’t lie—I was a little unsure. But within minutes, he proved me completely wrong.

From the moment he saw me, he told me I was doing an amazing job for staying so calm. When I said I had a feeling the baby was going to come fast, he didn’t doubt me for a second. He looked right at me and said, “I believe you. We’re going to make this happen.”

He moved around the room like he had done this a million times, never missing a single step. When my husband, Zackery, told him that his family had only ever had boys—his grandparents, parents, and even him and his brother—this nurse was right there with us, tearing up when our baby girl was born.

Colton, every woman deserves a nurse like you during one of the hardest moments of their life. Thank you for being the quiet hero in the delivery room every single day.

People like you truly make the world a better place. 🌎♥️
